Brand & Creative Challenges
ABOUT
Web Pioneer's new website required more than static design, it needed motion to guide users, reinforce branding, and enhance usability. With performance in mind, all animations had to be lightweight, visually informative, and seamlessly integrated across devices. The identity also needed a flexible logo that worked across digital touchpoints and in motion.
I was brought on as a UI Motion Designer and Brand Animator to develop an animated identity system for Web Pioneer. My responsibilities included designing a modern monogram logo, animating the logo for loading and promo use, and building a suite of animated SVG icons for the website, designed for use with Lottie (JSON).

CHALLENGE
Web Pioneer’s new site needed more than just great UI, it needed motion that enhanced clarity and engagement.
The Client Wanted Animated Icons That Could:
1. Help users quickly understand navigation and functionality.
2. Maintain a light file size and fast load time.
3. Be easily integrated by the dev team using Lottie/JSON formats.
The key challenge: design short, seamless animations that were visually informative, under 200ms, and aligned with the agency’s modern, minimal brand style.
SOLUTION
As the UI Motion Designer, I crafted a full suite of animated SVG icons using After Effects and exported them via Lottie (.JSON files) for lightweight, scalable performance.
Custom Icon Loops - Designed 14 animations ranging from simple status indicators to complex UX actions (loading, filtering, confirming, etc.)
After Effects to Lottie Workflow - Used shape-based vector animation with solid timing and easing for clean looping (100–200ms cycles)
Brand-First Design - Maintained consistent line weights, motion style, and colour use based on Web Pioneer’s new visual identity
Developer Collaboration - Worked closely with devs to test animations across browsers and devices, ensuring seamless performance and implementation
IMPACT
1. Improved visual clarity and interaction feedback across the site.
2. Added polish and perceived performance through purposeful microinteractions.
3. Delivered scalable assets ready for the Web, React, and app environments.
4. Strengthened Web Pioneer’s digital brand by reinforcing a modern, professional tone.
